RALEIGH, N.C. — A bill to turn land in the northeast corner of downtown Raleigh into a mix of homes, shops and offices is full-speed ahead.
The 25-acre site along Blount Street includes about 40 state-owned building -- mostly houses -- and 18 parking lots. A state motor fleet lot also located there would be moved to the State Fairgrounds.
State office workers would be moved from their North Blount Street location. A new location has not been decided.
