WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — A Wayne County teenager who died on the way to school last month has been honored posthumously.
Seventeen-year-old Michael Lugo has been awarded a "Teaching Fellowship" by the state.
Wayne County officials said an alternate student will be selected in Lugo's honor.
