RALEIGH, N.C. — A man wanted for kidnapping a woman and her two daughters is in police custody.

Albert Hudson turned himself in to authorities around 9 p.m. Monday. He is charged with kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.

Wake County deputies said Hudson ran Suzette Snelling's car off the road on Highway 401 Sunday morning. They said he assaulted and kidnapped Snelling, then dropped her off at Rex Hospital.

Authorities said Hudson then went to the home of Snelling's mother and abducted her two daughters. They were later dropped off unharmed with their grandparents.
