Boaters May Have To Find Alternate Plans For Easter Weekend

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Many people are having their Easter weekend plans washed away. Flooding left over from last week's rain continues to cause a lot of problems at area lakes.

Falls Lake, Kerr Lake and Jordan Lake are some examples of recreation areas in the Triangle that are being hampered with rising water issues.

Officials say the water levels are so high in places that some boat ramps are underwater.

Officials have closed all of Jordan Lake's campsites. Only a few campsites are open at Kerr Lake and Holly Point Campground and the Beaver Dam picnic areas are open at Falls Lake.
