Raleigh Police Seek Purse Snatcher

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are looking for someone who may have pulled off four robberies at Raleigh businesses in recent weeks.

In each incident, police said the suspect, a black male, and vehicle are similar. In each case, they said the suspect approaches women, snatching purses before assaulting them.

Police said one of the most recent robberies happened Friday at the BP gas station at the intersection of Western Boulevard and Powell Drive. Minutes later, police said the suspect attacked a woman in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree store on Western Boulevard.

On March 20, a woman was robbed and assaulted at a Food Lion on Poole Road. Police said the suspect was unsuccessful during a March 1 attempt at the Kangeroo Mart on Avent Ferry Road.
