Misfortune Strikes Pedestrian, Motorist At Same Time In Raleigh Accident

RALEIGH, N.C. — An accident involving a car and a pedestrian Thursday night on Western Boulevard resulted in both people being charged.

According to Raleigh police, Tommy Gilmore was crossing Western near Clanton Street when he was hit by a car driven by Justin Messier. Gilmore reportedly was intoxicated, and Messier reportedly was driving without a license.

Police charged Gilmore with crossing the road in a non-crosswalk area. Messier was charged with driving without a license.
