Wake Health Inspectors Shut Down Restaurant

Posted Updated

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — A Wake Forest Chinese restaurant will not be serving food anytime soon.

Wake County health inspectors shut down Xing Wang for scoring a 59.5. The lowest passing score is 70.

Some of the violations include:

  • Roaches and bugs were found in flour and in other areas of the kitchen and dining room.
  • Raw pork was stored with raw seafood.
  • Dirty plates were "everywhere," possibly because the dish washer was broken.
  • There was no hot water in the entire restaurant.
  • Xing Wang will need to go through the entire permitting process again before it can reopen.
