RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff's Office has charged a Garner man with four counts of first-degree statutory sexual offense and four counts of indecent liberties with children.
Benjamin Charles Booth, 58, was arrested and charged Wednesday. Deputies said they searched Booth's apartment and seized items.
According to the Sheriff's Office, two victims came forward with allegations against Booth in Dec. 2002. They said another family member was then contacted and their two juvenile children made similar allegations.
Investigators learned that the incidents occurred over a lengthy period at three separate residences belonging to Booth.
One residence was in Johnston County, one was in rural Wake County and the other in Garner.
Booth is being held in the Wake County Jail on $1 million bond.
