Principal Resigns After Allegedly Taping Student's Hands Together

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Person County middle school principal has resigned following allegations she taped a student's hands together.

Parents complained to police that Southern Middle School principal Lora Hodges used masking tape to bind their child's hands.

Roxboro police investigators told WRAL Hodges used bad judgment, but no criminal charges will be filed.

Hodges will use medical leave for the rest of the school year.
