DURHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A Durham County official owes thousands in property taxes.
The Durham County Public Information Office said Eric Michaux, who chairs the county ABC board, owes more than $3,800. The taxes were due back in September.
The county attorney said he is not sure if overdue taxes could be grounds to remove him from office.
Michaux did not return WRAL's phone calls for comment.
