CARY, N.C. — More than a dozen people in Cary had to find another place to live over the weekend.
Fire torched part of the New Kent Village condominium complex off Kildaire Farm Road Saturday night.
Two units destroyed and 10 others were damaged. No one was injured.
Fire officials said there was a separation in the components of the prefabricated chimney flue. That flaw allowed heat to escape into the walls of the first-floor condo where the fire started.
