Authorities Release Report On Shooting Involving Two Raleigh Police Officers

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A preliminary report is out on a shooting involving two Raleigh police officers.

Last week, an officer tried to approach Clinton Woods after suspecting he had stolen a car. The report shows instead of getting out of the car as ordered, Woods drove toward the officer. At that point, the officer fired shots.

Another officer fired as Woods tried to drive away.

Woods was shot in the arm, but it is unclear which officer actually shot him. He is in the Wake County Jail on several charges.
