CARY, N.C. — Cary police have confirmed the arrest of a Raleigh man for allegedly attempting to have marijuana delivered by UPS.
According to police, 28-year-old Ronald Omar Taylor was arrested Friday after he tried to pick up 156 pounds of marijuana that he had delivered to a drop-off spot at the Cary Centrum Shopping Center.
Taylor was arrested at approximately 10 a.m. Friday after picking up the package. He faces several charges, including trafficking by transport, trafficking by possession and conspiracy to traffic by transportation.
Police said the marijuana was ordered out of El Paso, Texas. Police started tracking the package after a dog picked up the scent.
