FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Cumberland County man who has been missing for a year has not been forgotten.
Family and friends gathered Sunday to remember
Kent Jacobs
, a mentally challenged man who disappeared from his mother's Hope Mills home one year ago.
About 70 people formed a prayer circle and lit candles at the Calvin "Jack" Jacobs ballfield, which is named in honor of Kent's father.
Although the family has not given up hope, investigators are treating the case as a homicide.
