Authorities Investigate Raleigh Bank Robbery

RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities are asking for your help to solve a bank robbery.

The incident took place at 9:16 a.m. Wednesday at SouthTrust Bank located at 3301 Edwards Mill Road.

Authorities say the suspect entered the bank brandishing a handgun and demanded money. Authorities say the suspect wore dark clothing, a green olive trench coat and a gray stocking over his face.

Authorities say as the suspect fled, he dropped some of the cash he stole. That money was later recovered by police.

The N.C. Bankers Association will offer a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case. If you have any information, you are asked to call
