LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. — A Kinston man who was severely burned in the West Pharmaceuticals Plant explosion said he has never been more grateful to alive.
Robert Fuller sustained burns on one-third of his body, but he still managed to help several co-workers out of the fire.
At the time, Fuller said he did not realize how badly he was burned.
"A lot of people won't believe until they see. Look at me. I'm a miracle -- a walking, talking, breathing miracle. God did it," he said.
Fuller was unconscious in the Jaycee Burn Center for almost two weeks after the explosion. He is currently resting at home in Lenoir County.
