RALEIGH, N.C. — Two Raleigh men are scheduled to be in court on Monday after their arrests on murder charges.

Donald Mitchell and David Marrero are being held in the Wake County jail without bond. Both are charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault stemming from a shooting outside a party on Wake Forest Road early Saturday morning.

According to police, Mitchell and Marrero shot into a car in a parking lot, killing 23-year-old Quincy Omar Phillips.

Another victim of the shooting, 25-year-old Edward Coffey, was in good condition at Wake Medical Center Sunday night.

Police say the homicide occurred just before 3 a.m. Saturday, behind the North Raleigh Hilton.

According to reports, a group of people had rented a floor in an office building, where there were perhaps several hundred people at a party.

Witnesses said multiple gunshots were fired into the victims' vehicle.
