JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Johnston County school bus driver is out of a job after an incident last week.
Wanda Forest was behind the wheel of Bus 312 when it started having mechanical problems.
Parents say she told some children to jump off while it was still moving and she made other children walk home a mile away.
School leaders investigated and fired Forest. She had worked for the school system since 1995.
