RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake County sheriff's deputies arrested two suspected thieves Wednesday after an alert neighbor called 911 to report a suspicious vehicle at 300 Paprika Court in Raleigh.
According to deputies, the neighbor became concerned when he saw two white males get out of a truck and go behind the residence at Paprika.
Deputies responded and discovered the rear door of the home had been kicked in. Within five minutes of broadcasting an alert, the deputies had stopped the suspects at Cub and Dahgreen.
Deputies recovered jewelry, stereo equipment, a DVD player and two watches.
The suspects were identified as 17-year-old Brian Boru McBride and 18-year-old Christian Ryan Grayson, both of Raleigh. They were charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.
"Thanks to this neighbor and the quick response of our deputies, we were able to catch these suspects," Capt. Ken Dodd said. "This is an excellent example of a citizen watching out for his neighbors and working with us to solve this crime."
