Wilson police have arrested a suspect in a Fayetteville bank robbery, who has been taken to Cumberland County to answer charges.

The Wilson Police Department, in a cooperative effort with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Raleigh police and Fayetteville police, have identified the suspect as Reginald Council Williams.

At approximately 2 p.m. a uniformed patrol officer located Williams loitering at the Wilson Transportation Center/Bus Station. Williams gave an alias but quickly was identified as Williams.

Williams was then arrested for second-degree trespassing and giving false information. He was wanted for two bank robberies in Fayetteville and for questioning about a bank robbery in Raleigh.

Williams received a $400 secured bond for his charges in Wilson. He was picked up by Fayetteville investigators and taken to Cumberland County to answer charges of bank robbery there.
