Posted February 18, 2003
RALEIGH, N.C. — The
Wake County school board
received a revised student reassignment plan on Tuesday.
Officials say the new plan affects more than 2,300 children, which is a smaller number than the plan presented last month.
However, the new plan includes some new neighborhoods and predominantly affects fast-growing southwest Wake County.
Parents can discuss the new reassignment plan at a public forum on March 5. Parents must call
to sign up to speak at the meeting by 5 p.m. Feb. 28.
