GARNER, N.C. — A Wake County cab driver is in good condition after being shot by a robber Sunday night.
Police said the incident started around 9:30 p.m., when Cornelius Geber got into Dennis Coley's cab in Raleigh.
Police said they drove to Garner and that is when Geber allegedly shot Coley in the neck and took off in the cab.
Geber was spotted around 1:30 a.m. by Wake County deputies. There was a short chase back into Raleigh, where Geber wrecked the cab.
Geber is being in the Wake County Jail on $150,000 secured bond.
Coley is being treated at WakeMed.
