Authorities Investigate Possible Gas Leak In Raleigh

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities are responding to a possible gas leak in Raleigh.

Authorities say crews who are working on road-widening construction at Duraleigh Road near Crabtree Creek have reportedly broken a gas main.

Area residents reported hearing a loud noise and the sound of gas coming out of a pipe.

Authorites have closed that section of the road.

There is no word on any injuries or when the road might reopen.
