RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are investigating a string of purse snatchings.
According to police, a Hispanic man in a white Astro van is targeting women as they drop off their children at day care.
They said the man waits for the women to take their children inside, then he goes to their cars to see if a purse was left behind.
So far, six cases have been reported, including one Monday morning at a day-care center on Brentwood Road.
Police said the best advice is to lock car doors and never leave valuables inside.
