Edge's body was found last week in an abandoned mobile home located at 3144 Korea Circle in Hope Mills. Brigman and Grainger listed that address as their residence, and Cumberland County deputies had been seeking them for questioning.
Brigman and Grainger were arrested in Myrtle Beach, S.C., over the weekend on charges unrelated to the Edge case. Both men are being held in the Horry County Detention Center in South Carolina on charges of breaking, entering and larceny.
They were arrested by Myrtle Beach police after allegedly leaving a Myrtle Beach restaurant without paying the bill.
A detainer has been placed on both men for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
It was not known Sunday night when either would be turned over to North Carolina.
Ever since Edge's niece discovered his body, Cumberland County deputies had been looking for Grainger and Brigman.
South Carolina officials had been alerted to be on the lookout for the two men in a red, 1989 Chevy S-10 pickup truck bearing North Carolina registration PXA-4440. After the pair was apprehended, Cumberland County homicide investigators went to Myrtle Beach to question the men about Edge's death.
