DURHAM, N.C. — Commuters and other motorists along Interstate 40 in Durham County were slowed by an overturned vehicle Friday morning.
Authorities say a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Detiste Ledonna Gilmer, 32, of Greensboro, went out of control in the westbound lane of I-40 near N.C. 55.
Authorities say the vehicle was in the middle westbound lane when it ran off the road to the left and flipped into the median. The Pathfinder rolled over at least twice before coming to rest in the eastbound lanes of I-40.
Gilmer and three passengers -- Bryan Gregory, James Jimmy Lovett and James Lamont Miller, all of Greensboro -- were taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
Traffic along N.C. 55 was diverted to N.C. 54 and back onto I-40. The eastbound lane was blocked through 7:29 a.m.
