Cumberland County Authorities Issue Arrest Warrants In School Vandalism Case
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County Sheriff Earl Butler announced that arrest warrants have been issued for Dustin Deaune Nixon in connection with last month's break-in and vandalism at the new Gray's Creek High School.
Investigators from the Sheriff's Office Property Crimes Unit obtained the warrants on Thursday.
Nixon was still at large on Thursday. He faces charges for breaking, entering and larceny of the high school, which is still under construction in Hope Mills.
The break-in was reported Dec. 27, 2002.
Nixon's last known address was 1504 Abelia Road, Hope Mills.
