RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are investigating a home invasion case in Raleigh involving the brother of a Wake County commissioner.
Authorities say the incident occurred after noon on Louisburg Road.
Authorities say two men went into the home of 89-year-old James Malone and his 85-year-old wife, Margaret, saying they had car trouble and asked to use the phone. Once inside, authorities say the men pulled out a gun and tied the Malones.
Authorities say the suspects stole money. The victims were not physically injured.
Authorities say the victim is the brother of Wake County Commissioner Vernon Malone.
The Wake County Sheriff's Office has brought in two men in for questioning, but they have since been released.
