ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — The Rocky Mount Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a murder at a convenience store.
Police say Ernestine Harper was shot and killed 9:30 p.m. Monday at the convenience store, located at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Virginia Street.
Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5-foot-7-inches tall with a medium-size build.
The suspect is believed to be between 30 to 40 years old and was last seen wearing a dark-hooded coat.
