RALEIGH, N.C. — The state attorney general wants to shut down a mobile home seller accused of ripping off people.
In a complaint filed Monday, Attorney General Roy Cooper is accusing Donald Gupton and Creative Real Estate of Henderson of using unfair and deceptive trade practices. The company also operates as Dynasty Homes and Superior Housing Center.
The NAACP claims the company targets poor minorities with questionable financing packages that many people cannot dig out of.
