RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wolfpack continues to bask in the glow of their Gator Bowl victory over Notre Dame.
Football coach Chuck Amato and several players rubbed elbows Friday with Gov. Mike Easley. Easley struck his Heisman Trophy-like pose when he put on a football jersey.
Linebacker Dantonio Burnette said the governor has some potential.
"He looked pretty good in the jersey. [It] looked like he could have been a player back in the day," he said.
Easley congratulated the team on their outstanding season and proclaimed Saturday as "Wolfpack Day" in North Carolina.
