FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office reported late Wednesday that deputies had arrested 33-year-old Paul Riley Grace, charging him with one count of indecent liberties with a minor and one count of second-degree kidnapping.
The victim, a 10-year-old girl, reportedly told her grandmother about the incident. The grandmother then reported the victim's story to the Sheriff's Office Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred Tuesday night in the victim's home, where Grace had been living for approximately two months. Grace was a friend of the victim's family.
Grace was in the Cumberland County Jail Wednesday night under a $25,000 secured bond. He will have a first appearance in District Court Thursday morning.
