Sheriff R. Thomas Breedlove and Police Chief Glen B. Allen said that four people have been arrested on several charges, including trafficking of heroin. They are all being held in the Vance County jail.
In addition to 723 heroin bags hidden throughout the residence that was raided, agents also found several weapons - including an assault rifle and semi-automatic pistol - and large quantities of cash.
Breedlove confirmed that it was the largest heroin bust in Vance County. The seized heroin had a street value of more than $18,000.

All the suspects will make their first court appearance on Feb. 17.
According to the Sheriff's Office, agents served a search warrant at the residence on Saucy Lane at approximately 5 p.m. on Monday. The agents arrived in a rental van in hopes that the suspects wouldn't recognize them, and several suspects tried to flee as the agents entered the front door.
Three of the suspects were apprehended at a side door of the residence. The fourth suspect was stopped from exiting the rear of the residence by an agent and a dog from the K-9 unit.
According to one of the agents at the scene, Tate had a needle and syringe filled with heroin, and a search of Gill revealed $1,940 in cash in his possesion.
Also located was $5,639 in cash hidden inside a stereo in a bedroom.
The weapons found were a Chinese SKS assault rifle, a 9MM rifle, a .357 Magnum, .380 semi-automatic pistol and 9MM pistol.
Agents confiscated 5.9 grams of marijuana, a bulletproof vest, weight scales and plastic "baggies."
