Morrisville Leaders Vote To Save Original Town Hall

Monday, commissioners unanimously voted in favor of restoring the 130-year-old building, which was used as a church for more than 100 years. The building was converted to the town's first town hall in 1976.

The condemned building is sagging and has been through a fire.

Instead of demolishing the building, commissioners directed a staff to develop a restoration plan and make a monthly progress updates.

They also allocated $150,000 that could be used toward the restoration.
