RALEIGH, N.C. — A Johnston County man who injured four children when he backed into a day-care center will not face charges.
Charles Watson said he had just replaced the brakes on his car and was testing them when the car rolled through the wall of the Shiloh Child Development Center in December.
The District Attorney's Office announced Thursday that the accident was caused by brake malfunction.
Two adults and four children were injured. None of the injuries was serious, but one child was taken to the hospital.
