CARY, N.C. — Two people were killed Thursday morning in a head-on collision in Cary.
The collision happened at 6:07 a.m at the intersection of N.C. 55and Morrisville-Carpenter Road.
The state Highway Patrol said an elderly man crossed the center line and hit a car driven by Rudolfo Palomares, 20, of Durham. Both men died.
Four other people were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The accident blocked the road for more than three hours.
