FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police reported Friday that they have taken 45-year-old Manfred Elzie Miller into custody on an outstanding federal probation warrant.

According to police, Miller is "an absconder" from the New England area, where he was previously charged with bank robbery.

Fayetteville police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation questioned Miller on Friday afternoon about Thursday's robbery of the First Union Bank and the Dec. 20 robbery of the Bank of America.
