Fayetteville Police Investigate Bank Robbery

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police say they are investigating a Thursday-morning robbery at the First Union Bank on Raeford Road.

Detectives are asking for the public's assistance in an attempt to identify the suspect. Anyone in the area of Raeford Road and Brighton Road around 10 a.m. who might have seen anyone who seemed suspicious is asked to called the Fayetteville Police Department or Crimestoppers at

483-TIPS.

According to police, the robbery suspect received an undetermined amount of money and ran from the bank. Police said they were called to the scene about 10 a.m.

Police learned from bank employees that the suspect is a white male in his mid-30's to early 40's with a gray mustache, wearing a gray baseball hat and jacket. The man weighs between 150 and 160 pounds and stands between 5-7 and 5-9.
