CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police in Charlotte say robbers burned the arms of two women during an early-morning home invasion.
Police got the call for help just before 2 a.m. Officers arrived at the home on Piney Grove Road to find that two women had been assaulted.
Investigators say two men forced their way inside the home, tied up the women and burned their arms with some type of flammable liquid.
Two children were also in the home, but they weren't hurt. Police say counselors have been called to talk to them.
The women were taken to the hospital. Although the extent of their injuries is not known, police say doctors want the women to recover before discussing the case with investigators.
