RALEIGH, N.C. — More than two years ago, Thomas Hook walked into Duke, flashed a badge and identified himself as a police officer in order to get free medicine.

He just found out his prison stay for that crime has been extended.

A judge sentenced Hook to an additional 23 to 28 months in state prison.

Hook already was serving a six-year federal sentence
