<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Motorists needing to access Interstate 85 North or U.S. 70 East from Avondale Drive in Durham will have to use an alternate route until next Friday.

The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the ramp from Avondale Drive accessing I-85 N.

Motorists needing to access I-85 North will use the following signed detour route:

Avondale Dr. to Club Boulevard East to I-85 North.

Motorists needing to travel U.S. 70 East will use the following signed detour route:

Avondale Dr. to Club Boulevard West to Duke Street and back to I-85 North.

The NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit in the work zone.
