FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Charges had not been filed Monday in Sunday's fatal car crash in Cumberland County.
Investigators say the accident occurred on U.S. 301 Sunday afternoon, when a pickup truck failed to yield at an intersection.
The pickup truck slammed into the side of a car driven by Patricia Thomas, who died at the scene.
Thomas' passenger was taken to a hospital.
The driver of the truck, Fort Bragg soldier Robert Lucero, wasn't injured.
