State School Board Takes No Action Against Wagstaff
Posted December 4, 2002
DURHAM, N.C. — It appears Jackie Wagstaff's seat on the Durham School Board is safe for now.
Last month, Wagstaff admitted to falsifying city check requests. School board members voted unanimously to send the issue to the state board for consideration.
The state chairman said Wednesday that the request was premature and that no action can be taken until Wagstaff officially becomes a board member.
She'll be sworn in Dec. 12.
