Garner Police Catch Bank Robbery Suspect

GARNER, N.C. — A man suspected of robbing a Garner bank Wednesday morning is in custody.

Police said South Trust Bank, located in the Garner Town Square Shopping Center, was robbed around 10:15 a.m.

Police said Terry Lee Moore, 38, entered the bank armed with a handgun. They said he fled the scene in a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Moore was arrested near Ten Ten and Oldstage Road. Police said two handguns, a mask and a bag were found inside the vehicle.

Moore is charged with armed robbery and faces federal charges, as well.

There have been 11 bank robberies in Wake County in the last month.
