Raleigh Police Officer Injured While Being Dragged By Car

A Raleigh police officer working off-duty at a local restaurant suffered minor injuries Monday night as he tried to question two patrons who left without payng their bill.

According to the police report, two suspects attempted to leave the Bahama Breeze restaurant at approximately 9 p.m. Sgt. M.E. Glendy attempted to speak with one of the women as she got into the passenger side of a vehicle. The vehicle began to drive away, and the door struck Glendy in the leg.

The car stopped. But then the driver accelerated, dragging Glendy approximately 25 feet before he was able to break free.

The vehicle was subsequently stopped, and both suspects were taken into custody. Latoria Tillman, 20, and Joy Fyeeta, 19, were charged with assault on an officer and fraud.
