RALEIGH, N.C. — A Chicago-based consulting group will get $170,000 to study the possibility of building a new convention center in Raleigh.
The company will consider potential sites and funding.
Another firm already recommended the center be replaced or updated.
The city and county will vote on sharing the cost.
