FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Tabitha Lynette Miles of Fayetteville was been arrested and charged with felony child abuse stemming from an Oct. 14 incident that left her infant son clinging to life with significant brain damage.
Miles, 21, is being held in the Cumberland County Jail on a $50,000 secured bond.
Miles' husband, Christopher Ramon Miles, Sr., was charged with felony child abuse on Oct. 14, when the couple's son, Christopher, Jr., was hospitalized with a brain injury and placed on life support.
Life support was disconnected several days ago. The baby has continued to breathe on his own, but his brain activity is insignificant, according to a release from the Fayetteville Police Department.
