Twenty-seven people were arrested on child sex exploitation charges between August 2011 and October 2011 in a statewide operation called Operation Spyglass:
- Michael Joe Sanders, 31, on Oct. 11, on five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Caldwell County
- Bruce Wayne Lorette, 32, on 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Brunswick County
- Paul Stephen Pearsall, age unavailable, a school teacher in Sampson County, on Oct. 13, on three counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Cumberland County
- Eddie Ray Willard, 59, on Oct. 11, on 10 counts of Third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Forsyth County
- Bruce Anthony Howard, age unavailable, a dance instructor, on Oct. 12, on 10 counts of second-degree child sexual exploitation and one count of first-degree child sexual exploitation in Franklin County
- Larry Wayne Samuels, age unavailable, on Oct. 12, on 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Guilford County
- Timothy Carl Fulford, 41, on Oct. 17, on three counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Lenoir County
- Jerry Dale Plumley, 27, on Oct. 4, on six counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in McDowell County
- William Dale Warren, 70, on Oct. 21, on one count of third -degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Mecklenburg County
- Ivey Floyd Cook, 48, on Oct. 18, on three counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor in New Hanover County
- Daniel Joseph Nilsson, 32, on Aug. 17, on six counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Pender County
- Michael Anthony Coward, 26, on Oct. 18, on 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Pitt County
- George Maddison Venters, 50, on 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Pitt County
- Chad Thomas Evans, 40, a captain with the Lumberton Fire Department, on Oct. 17 on nine counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Robeson County
- David Lee Gillespie, 46, on Sept. 30, on six counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Rowan County
- Billy Ray Woodle, 37, on Oct. 6, on distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography in Rowan County
- Jean Paul Berard, 31, on Oct. 12, on four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Wake County
- William Johnson Blankinship, age unavailable, on Oct. 21, on 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Wake County
- John David Herron, 30, on June 29, on 20 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Wake County
- Kyle Martin Inch, 26, on Oct. 10, on 11 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Wake County
- Edward Joseph O’Brien, 38, on Oct. 10, on one count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Wake County
- Jacob Moses Korn, 24, on 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor
- Daniel Lawrence Taylor, 43, on four counts of indent liberties with a minor, crimes against nature, aiding and abetting and solicitation of a minor by computer
- Joshua Wayne Pendleton, 22, on Oct. 11, on first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, dissemination of obscene material to a minor and two counts of indecent liberties with a minor in Wilson County
- Reginald Macon Peters, Jr., 43, on Oct. 18 on federal charges of possession of child pornography
- Charles Douglas McKinnon, age unavailable, on Sept. 2, on 32 counts of dissemination of harmful materials to a minor in South Carolina
- Mark Aspden, 42, on Sept. 27, on inciting a child under 16 to engage in sexual activity in Lancashire, England, for allegedly sending child pornography and suggestive gifts to a Catawba County girl he met online
