JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — The Johnston County School System has punished a bus driver for allegedly making racially-charged comments last month.
Rebecca Pierce was suspended for 60 days and will be assigned to a new bus route following her suspension.
A parent claims Pierce told her son that children of different races should not be seated together.
Pierce also wrote a letter apologizing for her comments.
