Third Suspect Charged In Sonic Shooting

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police have made a third arrest and are continuing the search for a fourth suspect in a deadly shooting at a drive-in restaurant Sept. 29.

Saturday, Tiffini Martin, 21, was arrested near the same mobile home park on Rock Quarry Road where police arrested her younger sister last week.

Investigators said Martin worked at the Sonic restaurant where the shooting took place.

Thursday, Nitesha Sherri Martin, 16, a student at Garner High School, and her boyfriend, James Louis Garrett, 34, were arrested.

The three suspects are charged with murder, armed robbery and attempted robbery.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Deon Partridge, 22, who they said has been seen in Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina.

Police believe the suspects stole a green BMW from the American Pride car wash on New Bern Avenue on Sept. 29 and went to the Sonic drive-in restaurant on Atlantic Avenue with the intent to rob the restaurant later that night.

Kamell Kersey, a restaurant employee, was shot in the face. He died Sept. 30.
